hair today gone tomorrow (I don't care if it's corny, I had to!)

Hi.

Today, instead of packing and slacking I did something I've been saying I'd do for a while now...

I chopped off my hair ...

Or rather, Jennie- rock star stylist did ...

I donated it to Locks of Love

"Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis." - from the website.

You only need 10 inches or more, and for those of you with 6-10 inches can still donate, they can sell it at fair market price to offset manufacturing costs.

If you're thinking of doing it, I suggest you check out Dustin Diamond Salon in Los Gatos. Jennie's salon does it all for you. They pack it up and even send it out for you.

I tried to grow it out once before but let's just say 10 inches of hair made of poo would have been returned to sender. This time around I took some care, invested in conditioner and selsun blue salon (you know ladies, for the hereditary dandruff) and I finally got it long enough, and also, knowing that the simple act of growing out your hair has such a worthwhile benefit really does make you feel like you're paying it forward in some way shape or form.

I leave for Vietnam tomorrow, so I'm thinking I just scored extra points to heaven AND air conditioning for my neck.
