re: human capital

I did it, I transitioned into cubicleland unscathed, the first week of work is over. 'bagel fridays' was awesome. office supply room is heaven. commute was somewhat bearable. my pinky toe fell off. I looked like banana republic threw up on me. I can't take morning radio anymore: please send me your mixes. my boss gives off good vibes, co-workers are sweet, they do talk about tv shows I haven't seen yet though, so I have to assimilate and watch so you think you can dance re-runs.

anyhow, it's odd. it's not like I've never worked in an office setting, and it's not like I've never worked period, but this is work without a safety net of being able to say screw this, I'm going to nap. What I mean by that is that I don't leave at the end of summer to register for classes, I don't leave early every other day to catch a class, and I don't have the luxury of someone overlooking my screw ups because I'm still 'learning.'

to do list:
balance orthopedic shoes and hotness
make commuter compilation(s)- this is YOU person reading this.
invest in audiobooks
balance sincerity and sterile office talk
what and how is was and who and are 401ks?
pray to god the insurance package I picked does not kick me in the ass
don't forget who you want to become ngan. please.
